Betsy Griffin Watson

DURHAM Mrs. Betsy Griffin Watson, 80, of Durham, died on Saturday, March 30, 2013.Mrs. Watson was a native of Durham and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Berry S. Griffin and Lillian King Griffin. She retired from Laurence G. Wilson, CPA. She was a member of Roberson Grove Baptist Church, the Adult Sunday School Class 2 and the Ladies Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood “Blue” Watson.She is survived by two sons, Joe Watson (Sherri), Doug Watson (Cynthia); daughter, Susan Watson; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jack O’Neal will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter.
