Jo Anna Hales Jones

Jo Anna Hales Jones, 67, went to be with the Lord February 12, 2026

She had attended Southern High School and had been previously employed at NC License Plate Agency at Northgate. She was gifted in caring for others; always keeping in touch with friends and relatives, sending daily greetings to many to brighten their day and letting them know they were thought of. She spent much of her adult life as a full-time care giver to several loved ones. She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse Jones, mom, Carolyn King Hales, dad, Andrew George Hales and beloved friend and cousin Lee “Speedy” Boykin. She is survived by longtime partner David Carroll, Brother David Hales (Teresa Spell), nephew Joshua Hales, aunt Kathy West (Sam), her beloved dog Daisy and several dear friends.

She will forever be missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Duke Hock Family Pavillion, Durham NC for their heartfelt care to Jo Anna in her final days.
