Amy Suzanne Pittman

Ms. Amy Suzanne Pittman, 45, passed away April 28, 2023.

Ms. Pittman was born April 17, 1978, in Durham, N.C. to Frankie W. Pittman, Sr. and the late Shirley Buchanan. In addition to her mother, Amy was preceded in death by her son, Christian Pittman.

Ms. Pittman is survived by her sons, Deeshawn Magwood of Fayetteville, N.C., and Desi Chaphin Leon Akins of Durham, N.C.; her daughter, Destini Akins of Durham, N.C.; brother, Franklin “Walton” Pittman, Jr.; sisters, Angela Burton (Joey) of Hillsborough, N.C., and Kimberly Earp (Scott) of Raleigh, N.C.; stepbrother, Stevie Ray Morgan of Hanover, W.V.; stepsister, Tiffany Morgan of Hanover, W.V.; grandchildren, Da’Kari Magwood, Christian Akins, and De’Meria Akins- Matthews.

Amy will be remembered as a very outgoing, hard-working woman. She loved working and enjoyed watching television. Most of all, she loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time them, especially her granddaughter.

A Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church with a Funeral Service following at 1:00 p.m. Officiating is Pastor Randy Youmans. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
