Amelia Ruth Lindsley

Amelia Ruth Lindsley went to dance with Jesus on Thursday, September 12, 2019. Surviving her is her twin sister, Ann Ruby Ferrell of Naples Florida, daughters by blood and marriage Kim Lindsley and Toni Stone-Brinson of Charlotte, NC and grandchildren Emilie Hoffman and Colton Brinson; daughters by blood and marriage Liz and Gloria Lindsley of Stem NC; and son, David Lindsley, wife Donna, and grandsons Dakota, Jonah, and Benjamin of Washburn Wisconsin.

Amelia married the love of her life, Doug Lindsley, in 1958. Together, they raised their family in Boardman, Ohio. She earned her RN degree from the University of Michigan, and served as school nurse at Saint Luke School in Boardman Ohio, then served the Boardman School District as school nurse through her retirement. She re-located to Charlotte, NC shortly after the birth of her first granddaughter, Emilie Hoffman, and worked for Queens College as the campus nurse until she fully retired. She moved to Stem, NC in 2009, where she resided until her passing. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Durham, NC. She was surrounded by family and friends through her final days.

Amy loved her family, and in her faith, she extended love to all. Family included all of those who fellowshipped through church, sports, community, and breaking bread.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 5400 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512.
