Acie Edward Harris

DURHAM- Mr. Acie Edward Harris, 86, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020.

Mr. Harris was born on March 31, 1934 to Acie and Sara Harris in Durham, NC. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Acie will be remembered as the best husband, daddy, grandpa, uncle-best soul ever.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Acie and Sara Harris; son, Dennis Harris; daughter, Jackie Waters; sisters, Elsie Wood, Dorothy Cannon, and Frances Whittington.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Jacquelin Tilley Harris, and grand-daughter, Christy Howard.

Hudson Funeral Home will be observing social distancing for visitation as well as the funeral service, and asks everyone in attendance to wear a mask when entering the building.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held an hour and a half prior to service from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. officiating will be Pastor Jimmy Jones. Private burial will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020.
