So sorry for your loss. Aunt Rose as I always called her was a great lady. I still have fond memories of hanging out at her house with David and Sherry. She always made me feel so welcome.

Precious Family, Growing up next door neighbors on Rochelle Street to Rose, Buck,Sherry, David, Donna & Linda was a treasure to me as a child. How kind they always were. Years later, I was reacquainted with Rose as she was close friends to my in-laws. Her name certainly has fit her well, because she was as beautiful as a rose and bear the sweet fragrance of Christ to everyone she met. She was always smiling and had such kind words. She will be greatly missed, but, we have the promise of seeing her again in heaven. May precious memories flood your souls the days ahead and may the Lord comfort you greatly in your time of grief. Heaven has certainly become richer. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" Psalm 116:15. All my love & prayers....

So Sorry to hear about Ms. Rose. I remember being in youth group with Linda and going to her house. Ms Rose was always kind and welcoming to a house full of teenaged girls.

To David, Donna, Sherry, Linda, and Keenan this is one of the hardest things that I have had to write. Over the years people have asked me why I have stayed in the neighborhood for so long after the demographics changed. Well there were three reasons. Rose, Ruth and Edith kept me and Barry in the area I guess. Both of us had the fortune to have more than one mother growing up I guess. Looking at the video and seeing the pictures have brought back fond memories of my childhood with you. We all looked forward to Sundays because everyone knew how good Rose could cook. It was like going to a Golden Corral buffet at her house. I guess that is why Buck was so big. Like others have said in their post Rose had smile that would brighten up any day. I will miss getting out of the car after work and hearing that familiar voice coming from across the street and seeing that smile that everybody had the pleasure to experience. We all grew up and went our separate ways over the years but we can say that we had a great neighborhood during our younger days with the people around us. Rose loved her family dearly and would always talk about them. Christmas Eve was a big time at Rose’s house if you went out before dark you always had to get home early if you wanted to get down the street without having to dodge cars. Keenan you could not have asked for a better grandmother than Rose. She loved you dearly. I would like to thank the Watson family for helping me choose a career that would not have been chosen without you in my life. I will make sure to light a blue candle at Christmas in memory of Rose and Buck. She had all our backs.
