Paula Rhea Duncan, born October 18, 1952, wife of Harry “Mickey” Duncan, departed this life surrounded by family on April 11, 2018.
Paula leaves behind her mother, Zelma B. Cole of Charleston; brother, Wilson P. Cole Jr. (Brenda) of Euless, TX; son, William “Mike” Meeks of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters, Kellie M. Teel (Steve) of Pinch and Amy M. Weber (Andrew) of Charleston; stepchildren, James M. Duncan of Covington, KY, and Jon A. Duncan (Amy) of Franklin, TN; and grandchildren, Molly, Alex, Kyle, Ryleigh, Quinton, Hunter, Colton, Katy and Evie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilson P. Cole Sr.; former spouses, William M. Meeks Sr. and Richard L. Murad; and son, Adam R. Murad.
Paula enjoyed spending time with family, especially grandchildren. She dearly loved trips to the beach, had a passion for decorating, and adored all animals, including Buddy, Maddie and Daisy.
The family wishes to give special thanks to all of the wonderful staff at Duke Hospital, as well as Dr. Julie DeTemple in Charleston for her endless dedication to Paula’s care.
A donation in Paula’s name to Kanawha County Humane Society to help defenseless animals would be greatly appreciated.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life in her honor.
