Norman Accus Brogden

DURHAM Mr. Norman Accus Brogden, 92, a former resident of Durham, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Mr. Brogden had been living in Lillington.

He was a Durham native, the son of the late Lonnie Accus Brogden and Mary Undeen Moore Brogden.  He retired after 30 years from Jordan Transfer and Storage Co.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Louise Lanier Brogden and sons, Robert Lee and Wayne Brogden.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Brogden of Oxford and Billy Joe Brogden of Kitty Hawk; daughter, Brenda Joyce Howard of Apex; sisters, Daphene Lassiter of Durham, Betty Ellis of Roxboro and Clara Taylor of Gastonia; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 21st, at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
