Nannie Carlene Nance Potts

DURHAM- Mrs. Nannie Carlene Nance Potts, 95 of Durham died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. She was the daughter of the late John Jackson Nance and Jennie Lee Jacobs Nance. She loved keeping children and a clean house. She was a member of Layman’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Freddie Newton Crabtree and Otho Potts, son, Douglas Newton Crabtree.

She is survived by two daughters, Hilda Crabtree Hardiman (Landon) of Durham; Doris Crabtree Gooch (Carlton) of Durham; two step-daughters, Carolyn Potts Holland (Charles) of Hendersonville, NC; and Kitty Ann Potts Gilliam (Gerald) of Kearnersville, NC; eight grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel.  Pastor Terry Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
