Mary Elliott

PITTSBORO Mary Elliott, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, January 26, 2015 in Pittsboro, NC.
She was born in Durham to the late Ivey Vann Poe and Lottie Poe. She resided most of her life in Durham. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Marcus Elliott and daughter, Dianne Elliott Yates.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan Montgomery (Don), Miriam Meeker (Dean), Lou Ann Kindlund (Mike), and by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving sibling among nine Poe brothers and sisters.
Mary was a kind and loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend, who touched the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Pittsboro Christian Village, Pittsboro, NC on Thursday, January 29 at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Gerald Baker will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
