Madeline Stanley Piner

DURHAM- Madeline Stanley Piner, 73, of  Durham passed away on Saturday,  September 19, 2015.  She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Gurley. Madeline was preceded in death by her loving husbands, James R. Stanley and Jim E. Piner, son, Russell Stanley, and brother, Rayford Gurley. Madeline was an ardent Elvis fan and loved to travel with her church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her.

She is survived by her son, David Wayne Stanley, daughter, Connie Stanley Hewett and husband Johnny, daughter-in-law Rhonda Stanley, former daughters-in-law, Deloras Williams and Marie Quimby, brother, Roy Gurley and wife Shirley, eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Selma Memorial Gardens in Selma. Rev. Johnny Hewett will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Buck Fugate, Mike Hunter, Bill Stallings, Kent Earp and Jack Rose.
