Lillian Grady Riggs

DURHAM Mrs. Lillian Grady Riggs, 88, of Durham, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2014
Mrs. Riggs was born in Wake County to the late Ervin C. Grady and Nora Lloyd Grady. She retired after 11 years with Nortel. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Buck Riggs.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert Pennington of Hillsborough, Wade Pennington of Franklinton and James Pennington of Durham; one daughter, Barbara Buchanan of Stem; one brother, Bobby Grady of Durham; sister, Donna McFarling of Durham; 6 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mike Jones will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 6 at the daughter’s home, 2009 Mineral Springs Road in Stem.
