Johnie Edward Rhodes

DURHAM- Johnie Edward “J.R.” Rhodes, 72, of Durham passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late John Edward Rhodes and Lucille Marie Stone Rhodes. He retired from Athol Manufacturing in Butner, N.C. J.R. loved water, fishing and he was a workaholic.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jane Rhodes; sister, Janet Vowell of Durham and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel of Hope in the New Mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
