Janet Allen Riley

CASWELL CO. Janet Allen Riley, 73, of Ridgeville Road, Prospect Hill, NC died Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Duke Hospice Facility. Mrs. Riley was born in Durham where she lived most of her life before retiring to Caswell County in 2004. She was the daughter of the late Edith Beck and Lee Roy Allen. Mrs. Riley retired from NIEHS, and was a member of the Lamb’s Chapel Church. She was President of the Civitan Club and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty four years, Clyde E. Riley, daughter, Jeanneane Norwood of Durham; and son, Lane Riley and wife Amy of Burlington; four grandchildren, Monya Norwood, Avery Riley, Trent Riley and Meghan Crider, three brothers, Leroy Allen, Jr., Kenneth R. Allen, and Bruce Beck.

Graveside services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. Brian Biggers will officiate and Speaker Sandy Lange. Active pallbearers will be Colby Elmore, Andy Elmore, Stan Lashley, Barry Barnwell, Kermit Oaks and Bobby Haynes.
