Emanuel “Manny” Stein

CHAPEL HILL Emanuel Stein, resident of Carolina Meadows Retirement Community, passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 97. His friends in Chatham and Orange counties, where he lived since moving from New Jersey 35 years ago, knew him as ‘Manny’.
He is survived by his wife, Irma, his four children, Susan, Alan, Annabelle and Noah, and his two grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Markham Memorial Gardens in Chapel Hill.
