Dorothy “Dot” Miller Conder Phelps

DURHAM-. Dorothy “Dot” Miller Conder Phelps, 90, of  Durham  passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015.  She was born in Apex on March 16, 1925 to the late Thomas Bayard Miller and Lillie Gertrude Smith Miller. Dot worked as a Cafeteria Manager for Holton Jr. High and retired from the Durham Co. Public Schools. She was a lifelong resident of  East Durham. Dot was preceded in death by her husbands, James Conder and Roy Phelps, Jr.; daughter, Paula K. Tippett, brothers, Baird, Elmer, James, Paul & Wade Miller; sister, Margaret Seagroves and Lillian Lynam.

Dot is survived by her son, James Conder and wife Jan; daughters, Priscilla Boykin and husband Jimmy and Debbie Phelps Palledino and husband Tom; grandchildren, Mike, David, Jaime, Anthony, McKenzie and Danielle, great-grandchildren, Samantha and Addison.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
