Charles “Charlie” Franklin Pate

GRANVILLE COUNTY- Charles “Charlie” Franklin Pate, 68, of Creedmoor went home to be with Jesus on Monday, August 24, 2015. He was the son of the late Willis Wade Pate and Mattie Bowling Franklin Pate. Mr. Pate served in the U.S. Navy.  He retired from IBM after over 30 years of service.  Mr. Pate was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a member of Raleigh Aeromasters Model Airplane Club.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Pate, daughter Lori Gaddy and husband Chris of Durham;  brothers, Robert Pate of  Durham and David Pate of  Ocean Isle Beach, NC; grandchildren, Jason Bowen and Mark Bowen, niece, Carmen Pate of Timberlake, her children Jacob, Carleigh, Payten and Trenton Pearsall.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel.  Pastor Greg Allison will officiate.
