Carol Louise Gibbs Wood

DURHAM – Carol Louise Gibbs Wood, 68, was born on April 21, 1947 in Durham, NC to the parents of Leonard S. Gibbs and Katie Eloise Britt Gibbs.
She married Joseph Elden Wood on December 21, 1966,
and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Carol is survived by her mother, Eloise, brother Charles L. Gibbs, six children: Tamara S. Rodebaugh, Joseph L. Wood, Andrew E. Wood, Hope L. Jones, Elden D. Wood, Charlene N. Hatchew; grandsons, Rodger Dale Jones III, Aidan Wood, David Wood, Gareth Wood, Jeffrey Hatchew, Joseph Wood Jr., Hayden Jones, Dalton Jones, Michael Wood and Samuel Wood; granddaughters, Victoria Hatchew, Leigha Jones, Caroline Wood, Nikita Rodebaugh, Johanna Wood, Adele Wood, Evalyn Wood, Megan Rodebaugh, Katie Wood, Laura Jones and Kaitlyn Hatchew. She was preceded in death by her father Leonard S. Gibbs and her husband, Joseph E. Wood.

Memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3902 Berini Dr., Durham, NC 27705. Pallbearers will be Cedric Rodebaugh, Elden Wood, Hayden Jones, Kenny Peedin, Leslie Honeycutt, Ronnie Layell. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodger Dale Jones III, Aidan Wood, David Wood, Gareth Wood, Jeffrey Hatchew, Joseph Wood, Jr., Hayden Jones, Dalton Jones, Michael Wood and Samuel Wood.
