Barry Eugene ““GPaw”” Hoke

ALBEMARLE Mr. Barry “GPaw” Eugene Hoke, 53 of 29353 Community Road, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 after battling a long fight with his illness.
Mr. Hoke was born in Durham, the son of the late Gerald “Jerry” Hoke and Mary “Sweetie” Wilson Hoke. He loved his family and friends. He was an Electrical Superintendent with Starr Electric Company.
He is survived by his daughter Amy Ross (David), granddaughter Adleigh Oakley, two sons, Wesley Hoke (Candra), Blake Hoke, granddaughter Annalea Hoke, brother Larry Hoke (Susan), sister Sandra Doria (Joe), niece Lauren Doria & special caregiver Karen Hunt.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Ben Lawson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home of Uncle Wayne Wilson, 1148 Horseshoe Road, Durham, NC 27703.
