Barbara Anne Smith

DURHAM Mrs. Barbara Anne Smith, 61 of Durham, died on Monday, August 24, 2015.
Mrs. Smith was born in High Point, NC. She was an attorney who, after having her sons, elected to stay home and raise them. She will be remembered as a loving mother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone blessed to have known her. Barbara was always taking care of other people, a wonderful cook and avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Smith, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Barrett Snipes and wife, Brittany, of Indianapolis, In. and Patrick Snipes of Durham; her mother, Patricia Smith; sisters, Shelly Irwin and husband, Michael, Mary Page Smith and wife, Maria Gomez, Kathy Baragona and husband, Alan; niece Laura Baragona Damone and husband, Zach and their Son, Louie.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington, NC. Burial will be in City of Lexington Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
